OVERGROWN
Originally a pencil drawing, coloured digitally afterwards.
The word “Overgrown” evokes, in my mind, images of derelict ruins of human civilisation being taken over by nature, like Angkor Wat. I find places such as Angkor Wat somehow more beautiful than perfectly preserved historic sites.
This piece exhibits elements of wild nature contained in a graphically conformed typeface, exploring the balance between nature and artificiality.
